Learn about the symptoms of Parkinson's disease and how to live well after diagnosis. Have you lost your sense of taste or smell? Have you noticed that your hand, leg or head is shaking? Has your handwriting become smaller? These are some of the symptoms of Parkinson's. Gary Canner, the Central Florida Parkinson's Foundation Ambassador leads this informational session.
Gary has lived in Leesburg for 17 years, moving to Central Florida from Miami. In his 40's and 50's he was a competitive racewalker and a fitness trainer. He exercises daily, is a golfer and also participates in a Parkinson's Rock Steady Boxing program. A lawyer by profession, Gary was also a judge and retired in 2006 from his position of Federal Mediator for the United States Court of Appeals. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2017.
